The Shore Family started making wine in 1998, sharing equipment with three other wineries in a converted apple barn in See Canyon above Avila Beach. Since then we’ve shared winemaking facilities in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria and now Paso Robles.
We developed our first vineyard in Paso Robles in 1999 but later sold it and in 2005 purchased our estate vineyard on San Marcos Road , six miles north of downtown Paso Robles, just west of Highway 101. We grow 24 acres of wine grapes - Syrah, Mourvedre, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir, Tannat, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Franc.
We make our wine at Paso Robles Wine Services near the Paso Robles Airport. We own our sorting table , crusher/destemmer and wine press along with approximately 400 barrels with racks filled with wine.
In March 2006 we opened our tasting room on the park in downtown Paso Robles. We’re open 7 days a week 11 -7 . Please come visit.
Most of our wine is sold from our tasting room or wine club. We are in a few restaurants and wine shops. We have wine tasting 101 classes periodically or by appointment. We also present winemaker dinners throughout the country upon request.
2007 was a very busy year and the wines are tasting very good. All of this was achieved with the extra effort of 2 new staff members.
Mauricio Marchant, winemaker and vineyard manager, joined us in May 2007. Most recently, he worked for Baker Wine and Grape Analysis, performing all types of chemical analyses on grape, juice and wine samples. Before moving to Paso Robles, Mauricio was a field tech for Crop Care Associates in Napa Valley and worked harvests at Diamond Oaks Winery, St. Supery Vineyards and Winery, and Willamette Valley Vineyards. In Chile, Mauricio worked at Concha y Toro and Santa Rita wineries. He received his degree in Agronomy from UNICIT, Santiago, Chile.
 Michael Walsh, vineyard consultant, joined us in July 2007. Michael was the founder, and until his retirement the owner, of Walsh Vineyards Management in Napa Valley and has since consulted for some of the best vineyards in the world. He received his MS Degree in Enology from UC Davis and also has a PhD in Marine Biology.
